Bloody Work takes time.

A few months ago I blogged about finding my job advertised which I of course found annoying but as I mentioned at the time it was to lead to better things. Of course the beter thing was a promotion but there is always a down side as the promotion meant more work and to top it off they never did find a replacement which of course as every good employee knows that means MacDara is left doing two jobs.

They will get a replacement but in the meantime there is little time to blog, its not my own blogging I miss but not being able to read other peoples blogs is annoying. No Twenty over morning coffee, No Primal at eleven or Fatmammycat at lunch, Well done fillet in the afternoon or Bock before heading home. Its all very annoying.

Big Desk ,Big Chair

Then again there is an upside I do have a bigger office, and I did get a nice big chair and there is even a couch. and so i have come to a realisation all work and no play is no fun. As some one said -

It is impossible to enjoy idling thoroughly unless one has plenty of work to do. Jerome K. Jerome

And another smart person declared something I know to be true- The brain is a wonderful organ. It starts working the moment you get up in the morning and does not stop until you get into the office.Robert Frost

So I have made some decisions and the fridge for the beer is ordered and like they used to do in the west wing at the end of each week I will open a bottle and maybe even before the end of the week.Anyway from tomorrow I will be back reading the blogs as nothing is more important than making sure you have no stress. After all I am the boss.

One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one’s work is terribly important.Bertrand Russell

Relaxation is a must

People who work sitting down get paid more than people who work standing up. Ogden Nash

Untill something more worth while happens Ill leave you alone.

Hardship posting indeed…….

Mabrouk on the new office, it looks brilliant, certainly beats a bunker in Ein hell - way.

But sure I’m like the Murphys I’m not bitter.

Sad,Very Sad.

Biddy, Its not bad for a northsider , the Port was pretty nice too.

No Name - It is sad I agree, Everyone should have a name and if you want I will give you one maybe with the initials C.F.

Love the half of Guinness on your desk…..!

Beautiful furniture in your office, MacDara. I especially love the coffee table.

That’s one of those squishy foam pints, isn’t it? I had one on my desk years ago and some feker stole it. Now I have my suspicions who it was …

Medbh Thanks if your ever in the neighbourhood drop in for a coffee.

Primal : I do have one of those squishy pints in my old office but the one on the desk is a cofe mug. You know one of thoses ones that keep the coffee wrm and with a lid. Why exactly Guinness wants to seel them is beyond me then again I did get it as a gift so I guess thats why.

how long did it take you to ‘dress’ the desk with bits of scrap paper to make it look like you’re busy ? nice to see you sample the product in the office though

fridge being ordered to keep the ice and samples chilled.

are you in competition with the MEA Cedar Lounge ? will you be personally making the boarding announcements and fetching the little mini-pizzas ?
