MacDara is not the biggest fan of Rugby League but it is not often that Ireland compete with Lebanon in sport and so tonights rugby league game between the two countries does hold some interest for him.
Tonights game is a big one for both countries as the winner will qualify for the Rugby League World Cup in Australia in 2008.
The game takes place in Tolka Park one of MacDara’s old stomping grounds. Tickets available at the the gounnd and by all accounts it is a good value.
Team Manager Mike Callaghan added, “Friday 2nd November is going to be a great night for international rugby league. Dewsbury are really going to town promoting the game, there is a competition for two children to win the opportunity to be a mascot for the game and the admission prices are £10 for an adult, £3 for children or a £20 family ticket (2adults, 4children) which is great value for money”.
There is also live TV coverage in the Middle East on Showtime at 9.30 local time (7.30 Irish Time) The Celtic Pub will be showing the game live and a good crowd is expected.
MacDara is not sure who he will support as Irish Rugby ( Union anyway ) still has him pissed off so maybe the Lebs deserve a ticket to the RLWC.
