Ireland Vs Lebanon RLWC Qualifier Tonight

MacDara is not the biggest fan of Rugby League but it is not often that Ireland compete with Lebanon in sport and so tonights rugby league game between the two countries does hold some interest for him.

Tonights game is a big one for both countries as the winner will qualify for the Rugby League World Cup in Australia in 2008.

The game takes place in Tolka Park one of MacDara’s old stomping grounds. Tickets available at the the gounnd and by all accounts it is a good value.

Team Manager Mike Callaghan added, “Friday 2nd November is going to be a great night for international rugby league. Dewsbury are really going to town promoting the game, there is a competition for two children to win the opportunity to be a mascot for the game and the admission prices are £10 for an adult, £3 for children or a £20 family ticket (2adults, 4children) which is great value for money”.

There is also live TV coverage  in the Middle East on Showtime at 9.30 local time (7.30 Irish Time) The Celtic Pub will be showing the game live and a good crowd is expected.

MacDara is not sure who he will support as Irish Rugby ( Union anyway ) still has him pissed off so maybe the Lebs deserve a ticket to the RLWC.

If Anyone is interested the Game was a Draw. 16 all. Ireland Qualify and Lebanon go on to Play the winner of Scotland And Wales so all is not yet lost.

MacDara,

Nobody obviousily gives a shit but was the match any good. I couldn’t find it live although I did catch the result the next day. You’re back from lovely cypress i presume

I suppose it would be fair to say that the Rugby League World Cup probably wasn’t huge in Ireland up to recently.

But now that you’ve put it in front of us, there’s seems little option. We’ll have to push it big-time!

Is it ok if we start after the Heineken Cup?

Bock, Lets be honest Rugby League is for Girls, all that wriggling on the ground after been tackled is just GAY.

Of course if Lebanon also manage to Qualify then I’ll reconsider.

Can’t Wait for the Heineken Cup but the results form the Magners League since the World Cup have not been altogether promising.

Two spot , I went drinking to Beer 961 instead of watching. Its a new pub that Brews its own beer.

Where are ya horse!

Rugby League or Rugby Union? Which is better?
Personally I think Rugby League out classes union by far, though being a Wakefield Wildcats fan makes me a little biased! However I do admit that internationally Rugby League needs some work so Rugby Union has that on its side but what about the game itself?
It seems that Rugby Union is just a collection of dog piles most of the time followed by short lived runs which either involve running straight into the other teams players or scoring the odd try, WHY!?
In Rugby League I can see the point in running straight into your opponent as you have to make some ground only having six tackles to do it but in Union, it’s just a way of losing the ball! Fools!
I mean I like doing a little Rugby Spread Betting every other week but when it comes to Rugby Union, its just boring! KICK! THERE INFRONT! KICK! THERE BEHIND!! KICK THERE INFRONT AGAIN!!! OH NO WAIT!! THERE BEHIND AGAIN! RUN THE DAMN BALL!!!!
Anyway I’ll stop my rant here and give someone elsea chance to say what they think!

union is fucking way better than leugue you double headed fuck

may i say union is alot better than league
